The Beginning and The End

Well, it's go time. Today is my big finals day where I take all my major finals for Geometry, English and Science and then go home and nap. I've been napping a lot lately, huh? Then on Saturday, I meet with some bronies in my area at River Park Square. It should be a fun time. Then I get to start my new show on Radio Nintendo, Then. Basically take the Tuesday Show, shrink it down to an hour and only play classic tunes. After that I start my other new show on Sunday, Now. Basically take the Tuesday Show (again, yes), shrink it down to an hour (again, yes) and play only recent tunes (Unguessable, right?). And now comes the sad part, take that Tuesday Show and kill it. This Tuesday will be our final broadcast. And trust me, this Tuesday Show will be one to remember! We are planing for some awesome things to happen. Please, don't miss our farewell! On February 6th 2011, I bought NintendoJack.com. And since then boy have we grown! We've lost a few sub-sites but have gain much greater ones! Plus in that time frame I joined Radio Nintendo and became a Brony. So I'm like to announced that the weekend of the fourth I will actually really try to finish NintendoJack.com and PopIsland.org. And may I also remind you guys the Tuesday Show ends February 7th until June 26th. But in just 4 days my new show comes out! Network Version 2 Update Update

So the Version 2 update failed. Epicly. We are over 50 days behind. So I've decided to get it done this weekend. Also I will design the core materials of the new pony site. Now if you go to the side I have a poll of who is best pony. Who ever wins that will be the main theme of the site. Everypony is over there except ponies outside the Mane 6 and Rarity. I don't like Rarity. I've got no problem against her, I love becoming popular and all, but I don't a stuck-up pretty pony. So below is my weekend to-do list. New Site (SHUT UP!)

So if you've been reading this blog you know a few things. One of them is that I have a hard time finishing websites, mainly because I get distracted by cats doing human things and rainbows. So, I know PSH and the Pop Island Wiki aren't done, but still I have a new project I would like start. And it has to do with Ponies and Maavrik. If you don't know the two, you should. They're both awesome. Recently I guested on Game Freaks Live (I'm honored.) anyway, a friend of Illus was on named Maavrik. I did the Math and it turn out he was awesome (Ponies + Nintendo + Steam + Good Taste in Music + Humor = Awesome) . So anyway, you may be asking "Jack, what in the world are you going to do with Ponies?". Well, he's my idea. We all know Pony Archive got shutdown and Has-no-bro removed a majority of the Friendship is Magic episodes from YouTube. So my idea is, upload every episode, unlisted, and then put the link on our domain which we are going to buy. And then we will email Seth at Equestria Daily to link to us, and bam, we win. First Robotics

So I am about to start in the First Robotics competition. You can get the game animation here off NintendoJack Data or watch it on youtube here. This will take about 6 weeks of my free time. All network operations will be paused except for the Blog and Tuesday Show. However the Tuesday Show will be pushed back up to two hours on select days. Plus I will also be working on the Robotics website so you might see content added. Also, the Pop Island Wiki might never be finished, I keep losing track of time and I just can't get the info boxes working. I hope you all enjoyed your holiday weekend. This week because I have Tuesday off from school I thought it'd be nice to do a 3 hour show, because odds are I'll be bored with the internet. Anyway I'd like to list some of the things I got. First of all yesterday my desktop died, it blew a fuse. Luckily it sensed it was about to die so I asked for a new computer. So I got a nice difty laptop. It can do basic things, such as broadcast my show, web browsing and pretty much everything my desktop did minus heavy game, like TF2. So I
won't be playing those anytime soon. Luckily it plays movies very smooth, so I will now take advantage of our Netflix account and the HDMI out here. I also got some My Little Pony stuff which I like, now my desktop has RAINBOWS :D. Next I got Tetris Axis, since it saw it was dirt cheap. Fun little game, however, I would NEVER EVER spend more than $30 on it. It offers nice features, but really, Tetris is kinda getting old. Now my mother got me 6 awesome tee shirts. I would go into detail of them here, but I did post them all on my Facebook, sogo take a peek. I will however post my favorite here.

So yeah, other than that, I got gift cards, some cash and soap. Yes my mom got me soap. Well that's my life. Expect super site updates this week. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Site Update and Game Freaks LIVE

So first of all today I stared on the new Radio Nintendo show Game Freaks LIVE, a mix of Minus World and The Tuesday Show with a lot of guests. It was a fun time, we did a little bit of Mario Kart Wii too, haven't played that in a while. Overall it seems like it'll be a good show if they stick to their theme. I think IllusDark needs more control over his guests, but of course I can't control my guests either (i.e. Paul and BadMonkey) What really makes me happy about it is it's on a weekday, meaning the Tuesday Show has no big purpose anymore (Yes the main purpose for the Tuesday Show was for Radio Nintendo to have a show that isn't Fri-Sun, I am not joking listen to episode one). So I have a new idea that is small and will hopefully grow. This summer, or maybe even sooner, I will start making a short 5-10 minute podcast everyday about Nintendo News with reviews when news is slow. And then play this every hour, on the hour on Radio Nintendo, like a bumber. This would however crush the Tuesday Show, and would give you less me per week. And if something big happens during the day, we can update the podcast! So you could be listening to Radio Nintendo when all of a sudden, whabam! "Breaking News! Nintendo set a date for the Wii U!" for example. This would make Radio Nintendo not only a source for songs, but news too! Maybe then I would do a weekly news show for Mario Media then, since I'm still debating on what to do for original content. My ideas for that are that and "Spotlight". Spotlight would "Put the Spotlight" on a Nintendo Classic. If this is the content of my choice, the first episode would be for Super Mario Land. I would review it, compare the original to the 3DS, get second opinion from other people and then advertise it's soundtrack, neat little show huh? I'd do that every two week so I don't run out of games. Also our homepage is nearing completion. All pages are done except the Projects page and the new Links page where I will link to websites I site often. So in the coming weeks since I'm on break expect more of me, no really, I might start a short series on Radio Nintendo.

Google Music and Pop Island Wiki Update

How come I never knew of Google Music?! Google Music allows you to host 20,000 songs (length or size don't matter) for free in the cloud. Listen to them on any device with a good browser on it! I'm currently download the entire Mario Media library to shove up there alongside my father's 60 GB of classic rock. My computer will now be busy nights and school hours. Anyway, the Pop Island Wiki will be filled with content this weekend. I'm planning on dedicating it temporarily so it can handle the massive editing. I'm planning on doing three things after it's rich in content. One, freshen up the landing page and add more stuff there. Contact Oliver Dennis again, requesting an interview. And last contact NIWA for affiliation. Not membership, affiliation, because Pop Island isn't first-party. They might get mad at me for wasting my time on a little indie game that only a select few play, but I want to!

The Tuesday Show - Episode Twenty One

Ha! I'm doing a post for this episode. So in the last episode I played over 1 hour and 30 minutes of just Mario Kart music on top of the extra requests. Also the was the first podcast I chaptered so you can skip over music breaks or talk times. It's a bit buggy, but it's there in AAC. So on this episode, we shall have a normal playlist with no theme as of yet, but we will be playing Mario Kart 7 during the show. If you like to join us all you need is a 3DS equiped with the new Mario Kart 7 and a wireless internet connection. Once you loaded up your game tap, Online, Communities and then, "Search by Code". The code you will enter is, " ". Then at 6 15 PST, join in and the Tuesday Show crew and it's listeners will be there to listen! I also suggest joining our IRC so we can talk, without Nintendo's chat limitations of "I'm using gyro controls!" and "Good job!". Be sure to tune in here at 6 PM PST for the next Tuesday Show!

The Joy of Failing

So for science we have to make Mouse Trap Cars. I was cool with it, we'd have thanksgiving break to work on it and stuff, but then our teacher had a sub the day he was going to give us all the info, so I went the entire weekend info-less. So then I have the smart idea to make it all out of duck tape. Then I forgot, "Oh, the mouse trap uses a lot of force downwards." So basically the car collapsed when it moved. To get an A+ on this, it needs to go at least three meters, it went 1.5 meters. So I made another that goes just about 3 meters, give or take 0.5 meters. So if I'm lucky I'll pass this. Also, I'd like to saw in my current money state, I have a 60% chance I'll get Mario Kart 7 on day one, and an 80% on day two. It all depends on how long it takes PayPal to move my funds to the bank. However, I could try and hope when I use my card on a Sunday, it doesn't bill until the following monday... I shall go to the bank and ask! Oh and I missed the Tuesday Show post again, I'll start more after I'm done with all the updating, bah! Speaking of updating the homepage is look-at-able now! Go crazy, most of the content is there, the rest I'll add later. There on currently 5 bugs, one is an IE only bug and the other is a mobile bug, both can still look at the page.

I'm... I'm done... well almost. Most of the new homepage is done except for a few bugs.

There is a box around the photo shuffler on Internet Explorer.
On loading page, photo shuffler displays the Tuesday Show twice.
Unreadable on mobile platforms.
Hooked to the left on widescreen monitors.

So after those bug fixes I'll finish putting content on the site. There isn't a lot of content yet, so I'll keep the old site link at the bottom of the page. Also the Pop Island Wiki is no where close to being done. I have it estimated to be done before Christmas and the new PSH forums done by New Years. Also tomorrow the Tuesday Show hits episode twenty. I shall freshen up the podcast art and maybe start chaptering the shows. Basically what that means is if you hit the next button on like an iPod or VLC, I'll skip ahead in the file. So upon hitting the next button, it will either skip over a talk break or skip to a talk break. Magical! So be sure to tune into this week's Tuesday Show as we look in depth on Mario Kart!

First of all, I'm sorry forgetting to make a post with details about this weeks Tuesday show, it gets hard when the show is so blan. But this episode was the perfect episode! No errors, a lot of requests, and best of all an active IRC! Oh the Radio Nintendo live show experence is the best feeling a nerd can have. Talking with nerd, jamming to the same song, heck you even can choose the song! Sharing randomness, and laughs, it's shows like this that make me happy to work at Radio Nintendo. Anyway this weekend I shall finish NintendoJack.com and the Pop Island Wiki. The Pop Island homepage is fine, just a few bugs. Also I got another domain! It is for personal use and will keep it a secert from you guys, but a quick name search in the WHOIS might find it, if you want to. So Happy Thanksgiving, I'll post here when the update is done!

So currently I'm trying to make the Pop Island Wiki work. Home alone... (well Colin really doesn't count) so I decide to loop 70's Disco music as loud as I can. So, Pop Island will be done this weekend, next weekend I'll finish the homepage, and I'll leave PSH be for now. Mainly I want Pop Island to be done so I can milk it. That's what's cool about websites, once they're done, you can milk them for basically anything you want! Fans, money, references, you name it! Although I may be through my weekends away here, I'll probably use this sites for the next year. For now I leave you with this.

So I'm sitting here at my school while the choir, band and the signing class are performing a copyright-free song. I'll just take this time instead to follow up on past due posts. As you know, the homepage is still buugy, and I'll fix that after I install MediaWiki, which is taking longer than I hoped due to database and syntax errors. I hope PHPbb will be easier to install. I know I didn't do a post for the Tuesday Show or the Halloween Show... (I was actually looking forwards the the Halloween one). Anywho, a new buggy update is online! It's actually better! I haven't done work on the top right corner images code wise, except edit the Tuesday Show's core image. Also I am going to have you guys solve a problem for me. I have about $40, and want to get both Mario Kart 7 and Skyward Sword. I know I want the bonus for Skyward Sword such as the CD, but I also want to play Mario Kart 7 with Radio Nintendo peeps, so here the question. Wait or go Money Crazy? Poll is to your right!

The Super-Buggy Version That I Shouldn't of Posted Online

Ah, now everyone can see what I worked on today. It's not done, it still needs a lot of work but some key new features are there. Like for example, I added a blog embed there so you could actually be reading this on the site. Some of the buggy things are the image shuffler in the cornor, the images need to be rescaled and linked the the right page that I also need to make. I forgot to make an image the closes of the main logo. Positioning has been the biggest problem in all this. If I could zone areas, everything would be easier. I know that's possible, but it's diffcult learning HTML by yourself. Anywho, I got everything hooked up and working. The site should be finished by weeks end. I know I said this weekend, but I'm a lazy bum who gets off tasked.

Ok, the NintendoJack Network homepage has now docked with our servers! I'm currently working on the new site which is looking pretty good. Also the Halloween Show is a go! Me and Austin Read (Debaser20) will be running the 2 hour show. Also we might have some random guests come on here and there to spook you. So yeah, I turn 15 and bam we hit 100 posts. Umm... yeah... ain't this just dandy. The Version 2 Update so far is a trainwreck. So far, only NintendoJack Data is on time. Everything else is being put on hold. Plus, I shall be doing a show on Halloween with some other Radio Nintendo DJs, more on that later. Also, I will be offline a lot two weeks from now. I will be doing the audio for "Mixed Nuts" at my school. If you live in Spokane, Washington want to come, stop by and say hi, I'll be at the top with the lady who does the lights. Anyway, I will order the servers tomorrow and will open them to the public later that night, possibly even next week. First thing I need to do is move the fileave files there and relink all lost files, even at ol' JackSoft. So I am busy busy!

So I know I've been doing this a lot but I just like typing about what I plan to do. A brief highlight of what's happening. First, on Sunday the Twenty Third, we are opening up a new network branch, the Pop Island Wiki. Although we will have little to no content on this until 11/11/11. We will also launch NintendoJack Data on that day. Uploading randomness and Tuesday Show crap. Then on the 29th we will launch our new homepage and perfecting the train wreck the occurred the week before. The on November 11th we will show off the new Playstation Haters and Pop Island Wiki. And now for the reason for this post, the big news! The NintendoJack Network now has a TF2 server! Now you may be shocked that all of this is happening at once, well I am too! 174.34.133.3:27017 Connect away! We shall pimp that out more after the updates, for now, peace off!

Well I made a VVVVVV level. It will launch on Oct. 23, but will be emailed to people before hand. I will also email it to Nicalis, the company who remade Cave Story on DSiWare and WiiWare and are making the 3DS remake. They are currently taking custom maps to put into the port and if I got my map in there, my life would be complete! Anyway, my grandmother from across the country for a the next two weeks, so maybe, the Tuesday Show will be canceled. Also, I may be getting an iOS dev kit with my birthday money or even for my birthday. I could probably make an app for this blog and possibly a Radio Nintendo app if Phil would like that. But that's only if I get it for my birthday. Also, I will be online 24/7 this weekend coding the new homepage and stuff. Then the next weekend I touch it up and hook up the servers for next weekend's flawless launch. Also on the twenty third when 1.4 launches, PopIsland.org will be bought and a temp page will be put there until the wiki launches on 11/11/11. So, VVVVVV level, new site design, and new site. Lotsa fun!

The Tuesday Show - Episode Thirteen

Well I got my computer running and stuff on Windows 7, the integrated sound card and a back up one I bought. Anyways, on this episode I will play some music from VVVVVV since it is announced for the eShop and is amazing already. If you get mad, screw you. Anyway, Ethan will not be joining us on this episode, something about, "Boring" and "Not That Fun" so instead it will be me Paul and random people from the IRC will be on the show. Plus I noticed I haven't aired that much from Super Mario Galaxy yet, so you can expect some of that. So, as the show get more and more blan, so will theses posts. I'll try and work something out so I can have like an explosion or something happen.

Jack Fay Productions 2010 - 2011 Season

The rest of the Jack Fay Productions 2010 - 2011 is up and on Youtube. This years season should start after I buy stuff for my next DIY project. My Green Screen Studio. Here how I plan it to go down, get 4 pieces of wood, 4 wheels and 6 hinges and a few screws from a hardware store. Screw the wheels to a piece of wood for a base, then screw an upward plank of wood to the base and hinge the other two pieces of wood to that one to create a door effect. Next go to a quilting store and get a bunch of green sheets and cover the pieces of wood with the green sheets creating a green background on wheels so it will be easy to move around the house and to places like school for filming. So, in other news VVVVVV will be coming to the eShop soon, which is nice... Oh, I chose a server for the new network. Just Host will have the honor of hosting our three sites. I got a pretty sweet deal, for about $40 I get unlimited hosting and bandwidth for a year and a domain I can transfer to GoDaddy after a year. So, I think that's a nice deal.

The Future

So you all might be wondering what's going on with the future of the NintendoJack Network... ok so I am wondering about the network's future. Well, on Thanksgiving 2011, the entire network will be redone! We will move most operations away from Google Sites and get them graphiced and HTML'd on a real server! Plus we will touch up Playstation Haters and release our new domain. So you may be thinking, Jack, you don't have the money for a server, how ever will you get the the skill for HTMLin' and Graphicin'? Well my birthday is at the end of October, and I assume a month will be enough to tune up the server and get the files I want up. Plus I hope to learn and concur the three main website formats (HTML, PHP and Javascript) before month's end. Oh and I will be "obtaining" the full SAM Broadcaster and Sony Vegas Movie Studio. Basically, what that means is a cooler Tuesday Show and 3D Green Screen videos from yours truely. In all fun, by the our domain anniversary in February, this site will be the bees knees... yes I used that pun. Plus The Tuesday Show will be spunky and our videos on YouTube won't suck for a change!

As the internet is boring me, I'm starting to prepare for the next Tuesday Show. Also, I assume I should finish my thingy on the "Best Games for the Best Consoles". I'm at the end thinking I missed something. Nintendo really only has 5 home consoles... Anyway, don't call me a smashist, but the best game on Wii is Brawl. Sorry, but it has everything a game needs. Story, Graphics, Cutscenes, and good gameplay. Heck, I still haven't beaten subspace, still stuck in the great maze. Anyway, after over 200 hours on our family system and who knows how much else where. Some other good games I'd suggest getting are Super Paper Mario, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Fit (believe it or not) and most of the Guitar Hero type games are always fun. Well, I have stuff to do-ish maybe... later...

We had a deal-ish thing here. I lose the hair, and I get wifi for a long period of time. So in a flash it was off. And look! I'm back getting that 2 am rush again! Anyway, I'm going to start looking at good hosting plans and learning HTML, Javascript and PHP so I can make my websites fancy. My favorite system and my favorite system came out today 15 years a go. This was my first real system that I played and enjoyed. Our parents had bought one of these from our neighbor and we set it up in the corner. We played it for countless hours that night, and as a young child with an older brother who could actually play games like Zelda and Super Mario 64, I watched in amazement on the interactive movie in front of my eyes. I've never seen such awesomeness before! Later I started practicing at Mario Kart and Super Mario 64. I played those two a whole bunch because I taught that those were the most popular for the system, and I was dead right. I remember one key moment in our N64 age. My older brother was on "Bowser II" which is better known as "Bowser in the Fire Sea". We were so close to getting him, after conquering his maze and going through the pipe we were there! Sadly, us being young, our mother heard lighting and she didn't want us to get shocked, so she made us power it off. In all care, I say happy birthday Nintendo 64! Enjoy the rest of your day!

My father is at it again, even after fulfilling his tasks such as doing the dishes in under 20 minutes, getting straight A's and just be an overall good guy. But now he said that if I don't go practically bald, with a little bit of hair left he will change the Wi-Fi Password and ban my MAC address. I have solved both of those in the past but could be risky since we can easily change the password during my show, so if I see any sneaky business, I can do a hour show at my library from my USB drive. The only flaw with that is it might take a while for the the podcast to be up, (10 minutes to 2 days). So back to my hair, I like my hair long, I don't want it cut. It is kind of crazy so when he tricked me into going to the "store" I said I would like a trim, but he said no. I want a trim, but no, "Short or nothing" he says. I want your feedback! Lotsa stuff to post! Ok let's start with what's on my mind. HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER ONE HOUR! Yeah thats in 30 minutes and we have candy and bacon on buns all set up for that. Except my review of that later. Speaking of reviews, I saw the Spokane Symphony on Saturday. Opening night actually, so there were people there. I don't like fancy people, I looked like a fool. Anyway, the music was nice but classical music makes me sleep at 11 at night so according to my mother, I feel asleep. The music was nice though, the Pianist was amazing and his hands moved so fast. My favorite part was when they played so kind of church bell, that surprised me. Anyway, I also ran into my English teacher there and he said I could get some extra credit for writing a review, so I could just copy and paste this and add some fancy stuff to it and bam, A++! Ok, so last week I left you hanging with the gamecube stuff, and the result is.... listen to The Tuesday Show Episode Ten for details! So I have LOTS OF CRAP TO DO! Minecraft is now block-y-er

So Minecraft 1.8 surpised me as soon as I turned it on. The main menu changed to an awesome paining cam. Although I hardly play Minecraft, I just use it to build small things and look and chat with friends. 1.8 makes that easier with a server menu. Also there is an animation of a chest opening! That made my day! Overall, this update awesome. I haven't done much playing in 1.8, but I think Minecraft is ready for a Retail release. I'm just going to buy a beta account first. Peace out!

Well that was fun! Download episode nine here! Now to my favorite gamecube game. Now is where it gets tricky. To ease it off, I'll start with some really awesome games and choose from there. We have the Thousand Year Door to start with, one of my favorite RPGs and an amazing story and soundtrack. Then we have Melee, what I believe is one of my most played games. An amazing fighter with great rooster and stages, Melee is the classic Gamecube fighter. Super Mario Sunshine is a great game with an original story and concept. Who would have thought water could do all that?! Last but not least, we have the Wind Waker. What a game! I could go for hours just roaming the great sea finding mini islands to explore! Dungeons, Pirates, and crazy salesmen at sea, this game has it all. If you love a good game, please check the Wind Waker out. So which one is the best? For now, I'm tired. Guess who's gonna leave you hanging?

Well we are one day away from the next Tuesday Show! The playlist is preset and everything is ready! So this week I did everything in advance, I and plan to do this every week, so in case I run into any trouble with school or I lose something I have to run back to school, as long as I'm here at 5:55 PM, I can do the show! So in this episode, we will feature some more internet remixes and this time, since I won't be loopy from the morning, I will actually talk about stuff! School is long

I forgot how long school feels. At first I was all like, hey it's only 7 hours. But then I was like WHEN WILL THE TORCHER END?! After biking up a small hill, which isn't that tiring, I get to go to PE and run and stuff which does make me tired, the hill just adds to the pain. Then I go to Geometry where there are only 4 freshmen, the rest are 18 and 19 year olds in their 5th year of high school. Then I go to French I because I want to sound like a gentlemen, that class is ok. After that it's the most pointless class ever. Career Choices. You sit in front of a computer doing pointless things about your future. Sorry Radio Nintendo, your bandwidth is going to go up. Then it's lunch, a wonderful time where the school gives me food. Today I had a nice fish sandwich. Pre-AP English scared me because there were no computers in the class. How are we going to type stuff? I hate hand writing because no one can read my writing. Last, we have the only stable class, and the one that gives me the least credit. Science I. I have the perfect set up because the teacher in the class runs robotics in the winter and spring, so when I get into robotics, I could possibly skip out of my last class here and there. Over all, except less posts here. Lots on Sundays because that's when I prepare my show and I'll post about that. So a recap of me + school = the only time when you'll see me online is weekends and Tuesdays... and maybe during Careers.

Two things. One, I've decided to buy PopIsland.org! If you don't know what Pop Island is, check out my review of it. To sum it up, it's the best DSiWare game. Well Cave Story on DSiWare is boss, but thats a remake. Anyway, I've used HTML sites, Google Sites, ProphpBB forums, Blogger and other stuff. So I'm going to open a wiki using the Wiki Media template. I have no idea where to start or where I'm going to host it. Probably I'll go back to Last Hosting Plan during my birthday. So I'm going to make a wiki and hopefully get an interview with Oliver Dennis the creator. I already have some of the soundtrack on my hard drive but it's not the best quality. I also want to know if they are making Pop Island 3D or not. Oh and two, in case you didn't know this already, I'm a brony. So yeah, just wanted to say that now because it's still shocking my friends. I have been since March (I think, maybe earlier), but I just finished watching all the episodes so I think now I can include my self with the rest of bronies. Well, I have a show to prepare! It's here! My best episode yet! With glory and might! I don't want to spoil too much, so I'll say this. Two hours of epicness, guests coming and going all show long, the best playlist ever, faster request time and I'm thinking about this idea. Give away two games during the 2 hour event and another at the new 6 pm PDT time! Two shows, 3 hours, one day! Now tell me that isn't epic! So if that does occur, here's what I have planed, at the end of hour one, we will run the randomizer and draw a name and he/she will pick and game. Everyone else is still in the randomizer and people can still enter to win. At the end of hour two we will start wrapping up the show and draw another name! Then we will clear the randomizer and with our last game we will start up again at 6 pm PDT (our new time) and finish what we started! With a new randomizer, it's anyone's game! The Ten NES Games and the Best N64 Game

So the 3DS Ambassador Program has given me ten free NES games. Most of which are just crap, but some like Zelda and Wrecking Crew and just downright boss. Anyway, I can't wait until they release the GBA games so I can finally beat Yoshi's Island. Plus a Mario Kart on my system wouldn't be too bad. But still, about a week a go I started The Best Games for The Best Systems and I stopped at the SNES. So I'm picking up at the N64 with Super Mario 64. Now I think OOT should get a shout out because, that game is probably the best story I've seen in a video game. Anyway Super Mario 64 took gaming into the third dimension. Not only was it a great game with over 120 hidden star in 13 levels, but it is a milestone in not just Nintendo history, but Video Game history. I think this is the best game ever. Screw Call of Duty!

The Tuesday Show - Episode Seven

Well it turns out the 9 am to 6 pm Wi-Fi restrictions my dad set on me was on for my iPod and 3DS. So for my IBM, since he added that to the list later, because he took it from my room, forgot he set it a 9 so he set it at noon. So I confronted him, "Dad, my show starts at 11 am, I need at least an hour to prepare, maybe even more, can you swap my 3DS or iPod internet for my IBM." So about a day later he changes it to, only on Tuesdays, 9 30 am, with no 3DS or iPod sacrifice. So like I said, no show disruption until I start school and shows start at 6 pm. I plan to at least go until episode ten and choose one of two paths, do shows every Tuesday at 6 pm or do show's at 11 am when I have off. I don't think the second path will go well because my next Tuesday off is in November. So, in this episode of The Tuesday Show will talk about the next episode of The Tuesday Show, exciting right? But still, this episode's feature is NES and SNES games, so for the first few songs you can enjoy some classic music!

Hotels are nice

So very once and a while our family will just hop in our van and just drive. We did that today. So we drove to La Grande, Oregon and got a hotel room. I just realized how good hotels give it to you. I'm talking Free Wi-Fi, a pool/hot tub, all you can eat breakfast buffet and cable TV. So I'm going to relax and I'll be back online tomorrow.

Tuesdays aren't my lucky days

A couple weeks a go I lost internet on a Tuesday and this Tuesday was worse. My dad finds a way to limit time based on MAC addresses. So I figured, "I just won't give him my MAC adress, but he added a new layer if security on, so only adresses in his data base can connect wih the password. But luckily I can still do my show in the time frames he gave me (9 am to 6 pm) but I'm moving my show to 6 pm on the 13th so I have to ask him to pusu the limit to about 9 pm so that gives me time to upload the podcast and work on Playstation Haters. So thats bad news. Want to hear worse news? He took MY computer. Yeah, the computer I bought from working at Arbor Crest, he took it. Plus I can't exchange the sound card until I get it back so the show won't get better or worse anytime soon. Other than that a post with more info on Playstation Haters will be coming tomorrow. Computing on iOS is a huge pain!

The Tuesday Show - Episode 6

So here's the story, long time a go our old computer crashed and my computer had a 40 GB hard drive and this one had an 80 GB hard drive. So after asking my linux brother Kelly to format the hard drive, I swiped them and did a fresh install of Windows 7 my Dad gave me. Finding drivers was a pain, it took me about 5 hours to find the right drivers for my Wi-Fi card, and my sound card on my motherboard isn't supported by Windows 7 so I bought a new sound card. This one worked on windows 7, but was lacking key features, like output in something higher than 24 kbps and Stereo/Wave Out Mix. So I switched my hard drives back and I'm doing the show in XP, and I'm going to exchange for a better sound card at the store I bought this one at after the show. Otherwise, my friend Zero might be on the show with me. It's gonna be a pretty good auto-tune less show. Other than that I'm going to hint towards Pop Island for future posts....

Best SNES Game - A Tie?

Last post I said the best game for the NES was, no doubt, Super Mario Brothers 3. Now for the SNES, there are so many good games, like Link to the Past and Star Fox. But it was so hard to pick because games came out all the until Legend of the Seven Stars in 1996, and I think games still came out after that! (Cite me) Anyway the tie for the best SNES game is between Super Mario World and Super Mario World 2, also known as Yoshi's Island! Now I love Nintendo music (which is why I'm DJing at Radio Nintendo) and some of my favorite music comes from these games, the map theme form Yoshi's Island and the classic credit theme from Super Mario World. Super Mario World and Yoshi's Island both offer great platforming and story lines although I perfer's Super Mario World's story. Gameplay for Super Mario World consists of Mario getting power ups, smashing monsters and riding Yoshi's, but Yoshi's Island also consits of Mario riding Yoshi's, but Mario's a baby! Also Yoshi will also eat the enemies and other things to get power-ups. I think Yoshi's Island has the best gameplay. Overall, they are both great games. If you bought a 3DS before August 12th, you can download Yoshi's Island for free off the eShop and you can buy Super Mario World off the Wii Shop for 800 Wii Points. In other news, I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 and my motherboard sound card doesn't have drivers for it, so I need to find a new sound card before Tuesday.

Best Games for the Best Systems - Part One

I would like to run down a list of my favorite games for all of the Nintendo systems. Now this will be a fairly long post so I'll do it over time but start today. For the Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo's first home console, my favorite is, like most people's, Super Mario Bros. 3. Now although I never beat it due to rage quitting at the final boss three times, I love this game for many reasons. The co-op in the game is some of the best dang cooperative gaming I've ever seen. If you get bored of the adventure or want to steal a card, you can enter a game of the classic Mario Bros., which is another game which sold at retail for the NES. So basically Super Mario Bros. 3 is two games in one.Another reason is it put down the foundation for one of today's best selling series, New Super Mario Bros., in which I hate dearly because it only gives credit to the original Super Mario Bros. instead of the third one and Super Mario World of the SNES. Plus I hate it (and love it) when I see a little 5-year-old playing New Super Mario Bros. and not passing World 1. Yes the game is rated E, but the game can only be beat by ages 8 and up! Heck, maybe even 13 and up! Super Mario Bros. 3 will always be in my heart for the many koopalings there are and for the people who try to beat it, without the whistle.

Playstation Haters (Version 1.3)

Yep, I'm just that awesome. Once I heard GoDaddy was giving away $5.99 domains I pounced on PlaystationHaters.com for two reasons. One reason is it could make a great addition to the NintendoJack Network, and two, I can sell it to some mega hater for like $50 or something. Anyway in this NintendoJack Network update, Playstation Haters will be added to the Network, Project "Live" turns into The Tuesday Show across the Network, JackSoft will still be at JackSoft.NintendoJack.com but will be removed form the network details on the side. This update is live right now, Playstation Haters will not go live until not this, but next Friday. Hopefully I can get some forums on there. Other than that I now offer Playstation Haters email accounts alongside NintendoJack email accounts, so if you want some of those just email NintendoJack Requests.

Well my microphone is still broken and I will probably NEVER have a host over Skype again. Anyway, I plan to use my 3DS Sound for the intro and end warning. The middle and ending will be done with I Am T-Pain on my iPod. I'll open the show with the level clear from Super Mario World. Hopefully, this will be a pretty good show. I'm currently trying to bid a bid for Pilotwings Resort on eBay. So basically I plan to only have four 3DS games at the end of the year. Maybe Super Mario 3D Land for Christmas, but Mario Kart 7 is probably a midnight or get online discount title (I love Mario Kart). Anyway, lots to listen and enjoy on The Tuesday Show Episode Five!

Well I made the deadline and got the games. Yes, finally got my 3DS. You all called me crazy getting OOT 3D back in June. Well I laugh at you with my audio CD. Anyway, I'd like to say a few things. The camera has a few flaws, like it being less than half a megapixel, and I regret transfering some DSiWare of mine. Like for example, games like Looksley's Line Up, the game people said would be like the 3DS, does not work on the 3DS, yet they let me transfer it. It doesn't work because the DSi Camera is in the middle and the 3DS camera is above the 3D Screen. So other problems I've encountered is the lack of things you can do with friends. Since I don't have any multiplayer 3DS games yet, I can't really do anything but see each others Miis and if they are online or not. Plus the online service is very buggy. Every 5 seconds I get tripped offline. Now that could be becuase we have over ten things on our Apple router (which crashes when we try Wireless N). I love the multitasking abilities, how I can press the home button and easily Google, take notes, or snap a quick picture, all while my game is paused. Overall, at the new price of $169.99 you have no reason not to get one. It's a great system that can do everything you'd want it to do. So I am uploading some treats for you, a guide on how to transfer DSiWare to the 3DS and 3D Fire. 3D Fire is coming soon. Its been five horrid days without internet, I've been biking so some random wi-fi place nearby my house the past few days to upload the past two posts. Plus I just got back from a wonderful camping trip without my offine computer which is just dandy. Now I'm not saying camping isn't fun, it's just sunburn and sleeping on rocks is no walk in the zombie infected ally. Anyway, I'm really really hoping I can get back online before tuesday's show. So again, my father cut off my entire internet supply from me and the rest of the house because it's going "slow". Hmm, could it be Jack who plays low-band TF2 or older brother Kelly who streams three HD movies at once with the only n-band reviever in the house. Oh and older brother Kelly just got another computer with a 1.5 TB Hard Drive, so now I hope father enjoys Kelly downloading all $350 worth of his Steam games while watching the next four episodes of Dr. Who. Oh hey blog! I forgot about you for a second. Did I tell you about The Tuesday Show yet? Well get freshened up here and here! Anyway I thought it would be nice to give y'all a sneek peek about whats gonna go down in tomorrow's show. So it looks like people don't like requesting that much, personally, I like control! So I guess I'm the playlist boss. We are gonna start the show with the Victory Theme from Duel Strike and start our first talkie bit, this time with the science of "Background Music" of the Wii Shop! Holy Crap, I'm an Idiot

Yeah... so as many of my readers know, I don't own a 3DS. Although I do own a copy of the new Ocarina of Time 3D for the 3DS. How and Why you may ask. Well the how part is obvious, I went to the store and I slid my debit card through the card reader. But why did I slide it? Well I am a Nintendo collector and has reached the highest status on Club Nintendo 3 years running (Yes it is July 1st meaning the Club Nintendo USA year is over) and really wanted the soundtrack CD. Although my older brother Kelly owns both a 3DS and the new Zelda 3D game and ordered the CD as well, I wanted my own copy. In other news, I've been bored out of my mind the past few days at the Skills Center taking a computer programming class that is going to teach me HTML, Flash and Java. We have four days left in the 12 day course and yesterday we started the intro to Flash. Really we have done nothing in that class. You may be like, "Jack, you have $30,000 of software in front of you with one of the fastest computers you have used, why are you bored?" Well I'll tell you, everything is blocked. Now at my school, they leave YouTube unblocked, because they're nice and don't want to be hacked. But the Skills Center, they're just asking to be hacked. They even blocked my website for have games on it. My site has no games!! Luckly they left Radio Nintendo unblocked, until they blocked it on Thursday. But since the Skills Center is dumb and doesn't know basic computer skills, the streamer at mode7 radio is unblocked. I love my school. Anyway more news in THE LONGEST BLOG POST! Steam Deals. In case you didn't notice I have a Steam account I use for hardcore gaming like Left 4 Dead 2 and Team Fortress 2. And they're having a massive sale. 25-90% good quailty games like Half-Life, Unreal Tournament, Super Meat Boy and more. So sadly I want some new games, so I'm drilling a $10 hole into my 3DS savings fund to buy some games. Really, I'm getting like 4 games for $10. Anyway hopefully I'll be getting a job to fund me getting a 3DS, heck I already have a game!

Summer Plans

We all know summer is coming up, so thought I'd tell you what I have planed. If I get a job, then you might see more updates, later. If I don't get a job you'll see pretty much daily updates. If I get a job I'll want to get a laptop first so I can do various computing other than on the family computer where I'd not even an admin. Then next on my to buy list would be a 3DS. I've been waiting for a limited edtion one and I think Nintendo is going to gives us one at E3. Then after I've spent $900 on that I might get a 360 just for Reach and Black Ops with friends, I don't play those kind of games a lot, like I've owned Left 4 Dead 2 for almost 6 months now and have played less than 35 hours. And 80% of the time I'm on there I'm playing with friends. So after my job is over I think I might take on a project, if it be beating an entire series, or actually making a game. I don't know, so email me if you have a project for me. Schools almost out and all my classes have an A but one, and that needs to be fixed!

Yes, it is confirmed as stated in the last blog post, NintendoJack sings his been delayed until Saturday May 7th after todays work I have one and a half songs done. You guys were any help with my question last post... should I do a poll?!? Now you can poll what I do with my ten bucks! So yeah I ran a 12k Marathon today called, "Bloomsday", it was quite fun, I saw some buddies got a free t-shirt and I'll post my time when I get it. Anyway, since I was bored I launch the "NintendoJack's Buddy" campaign. If I know you (aka you, the reader) then I'll give you a Steam account to borrow with lots of games like HL2 Deathmatch and more! Email me for details. Oh also I'm closing the NJN on Steam, I will accept most friend requests now. Oh yeah, ChoiceQuest Part One Level Two is done, just gotta fix some bugs and make the anti-privacy code. How it will work is people who buy the games get a code and the downloader. Each code to linked to a game, so if they buy level one, they get a code like "e67rt" which can be use 5 times on two IP address, and they can request a new code if they need it. So it would just be one downloader for two games. The downloader will be programed in BASIC and will be my first publicly released program that isn't in batch, so yeah for me. ChoiceQuest Part Two will probably be in BASIC will actual moving, but here's for hope. Could this be my new longest post?!? I deserve a break-ish!

Nyan Cat!! Today my older brother Kelly told me about the never ending Nyan Cat loop at http://nyan.cat so I went ther and as bored of a long long time. The video below should explain the rest. Anyway, the launch for NintendoJack Sings might be pushed back to next Saturday, because I've only recorded Still Alive and I'm almost done the Pokemon Theme, so yeah, but yeah no one really cares about me singing, they all care about AWESOME GUITAR MUSIC! Yep, my dad is selling his guitar music from 2002 and yes my young, young voice sneaks into a hidden song, so you must buy to listen. In other crap news, I'm in a debate with myself. I have about $12 to spend, now that's just enough for Garry's Mod, but it's also enough for Cave Story on DSiWare. But Cave Story 3D is coming out in August and I'll probably get that if I don't get the DSiWare version. Or should I just save my money? Comment below your answers!

Last night I was bored so I made a fan page for my self. There, you can get blog updates right to your facebook! And if you're my friend you get updates too! So you could be reading this on facebook! So if you want go ahead and fan me and get blog updates straight to your wall. Also, my new personal site I talked about in the past update I'll probably buy tonight at 12:01 so I get extended time. Speaking of Facebook, there has been a lot of spam going around lately. So this is what you should do to prevent spam or account hacking. 1) Go to Account>Privacy Settings>Apps and Websites 2)Next to "Apps You Use" click edit settings. 3) Delete all apps you don't use like the "Funz Quizz" that told you your name is sexy today. And thats how you prevent Facebook Spam. Wow, thats nerdy.

Elite Beating!

So lately I've been lazy, went from outside Jabu-Jabu to the Fire Temple in OOT, Got 30 stars in less than an hour in Super Mario 64, but then I stumbled upon my copy of EBA when I was taking inventory of my games. So I played that for a while, and thought that I should try and do a song perfectly. So at the bottom of the post is the second-to-last song in the game, "Without a Fight" will be ready for you to watch. It's unlisted because I don't want trolls saying, "I can be better" or "You got 50s? GET OFF YOUTUBE". Hey trolls, can you do better? So, when commenting, don't use the post, use the video. Global Link, New Website and Baseball

I just found out the dream world launched about a week ago and just signed up. For those of you who don't play Pokemon, the Global Link allows your Pokemon Black and White games to link with the internet so you can interact with them on your PC in their, "Dreams". So I tried it out and actually enjoyed it, but I think it's mainly for the younger players. If you wish to add me my Screen Name is NintendoJack. Why my Local Library is Awesome

Today I went to my library and saw that in the conference room they had set up a Wii set up, with Mario Kart loaded. If your reading this blog, you can just look at the URL and guess what I did next. 4th, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 1st. Ok, that may be one thing why my library is awesome, but hey, does yours allow you to play Left 4 Dead? The internet is fast, in just one hour, your busy killing zombies, if you don't already have it on USB. Plus there's free Wi-Fi, and snacks. And best of all, in the spring and fall you'll see me there from 3 to 4 every Tuesday helping the librarians stack books. Not only am I a Nintendo nerd, I help my community.

Sucker Punch

Last Friday I saw the Sci-Fi, Action movie Sucker Punch with my friend Scott. It was actually better than I thought. To be honest, I was REALLY hungry and I wanted to get out of there ASAP, but here it is in words. Explosions, Hot Girls, Robots, "Dancing", and Orphans. If you like any of the above, you'll LOVE THIS MOVIE. So yeah, its one of the better movies in theaters versus crap like "Hop". In other news, I finally wen to the Pokemon League in the mall. This section is for all my friends who think I'm a Pokemon Master, they're dead wrong. Compared to these Awesome God-Liker Poke-Players, I'm a piece of buttered toast. They had a Japanese 3DS, with Japanese Pokemon games and Japaneses Cards, and they could all actually understand what they said. But overall it who fun there, we talked and battled, I hope to go back some day, but not everyday, I'm not that into Pokemon.... (I want to someday.)

Ah, the 3DS

Today the Nintendo 3DS comes out and I'm going crazy. But I don't have one for many reasons. One is lack of money, I could just sell my DSi, but then I lose all of my DSiWare. Another is lack of features, there are really no online features other than the White Knuckles Ok Go video, no transferring of DSiWare or even a DSi Shop to download some games. My last reason is I already played it, so I don't need to be amazed again, yes I do want to own one, but I think I can wait and get it with a good game like OOT when that comes out, that's a game I'm excited for! So if you have a 3DS I congratulate you, you made a great choice, just don't rub it in other Nintendo Fan's faces because they're probably have a good reason for not buying one, like me.

Let's talk Minecraft and 3DS

As my friends know I am a fan of many things. One thing I am a fan of is minecraft. So recently my friend had an extra computer and opened up a server. Now he wanted lotsa people on it but he didn't know how. Thats where you come in, if your bored and have boughten Minecraft then just connect to his server at minecraft.nintendojack.com! It's that easy! If you connect, then drop me a line at NintendoJack Requests to be featured on our minecraft page. In other 3DS news, I probably not get it at launch, mainly because they won't have enough because I didn't have enough at the time for a preorder. So I'll probably get it late may. What this means is 3DS.nintendojack.com will be shut down April 1st along with all but one video on the youtube channel, the uncut full version. Well there you have it good news and bad news. I tried it out and wasn't really amazed about the 3D, but the graphics mainly, although it looks better in 3D, you have to look at it directly. I enjoyed Nintendo's progress but there are no online features at launch and no really good games. Pilot Wings Resort and Street Fighter look good, but not for $40, maybe $30 for Street Fighter. Nintendogs looks good but probably for $25, and Steel Diver looks like a bundled title. Thats my point of view. So theres no midnight for Jack, boohoo. A NEW RECORD! LONGEST POST!

Sorry, the people at Last Hosting Plan were great but I realized that Google (aka God, your lord, ruler of the world*) is awesome and will do the hosting for me for free, and that gaming servers cost $200 a month and I'd rather buy a couple more Wiis. Life has been good. I've been hovering around Amazon lately. Now before I laugh at my buddy Ethan (who buys everything he can on Amazon) I will tell you that I am buying something there (trumpets, play!)! I will be switching my Pre-Order for Pokemon White from GameStop to Amazon. Why? Because at Amazon, they'll give me $10. Goodbye.

Left 4 Dead Anyone?

As I have been busy with two things later, School Work (me being an 8th Grader in Pre-AP Math and Science) and my new server. So somehow by Tuesday, I'll hopefully have a working Left 4 Dead 2 server. You maybe wondering, "Jack, why Left 4 Dead and not Team Fortress?" Well person who doesn't know me well, I currently only own two Steam Games, Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal, but I got portal for free! I plan on ordering Team Fortress 2 solo for I have no need for Half-Life. The gaming were the surprise for today... Now I'm off to play Balloon Flight... BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT!!!

In other news the data servers for my site which will host flash games, JackSoft games and the "Surprize" will be online February 19th, currently all we have there is a Homestar Runner cartoon... GYAKUTEN KENJI 2 IS ALREADY OUT?!? I heard about this about two months ago in an issue of Nintendo Power and was thrilled! Now that I see it's already out, I think we might get it in America around Christmas. So we have two Ace Attorney games announced, Black and White are coming along with 3DS and Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Super Smash Brothers and MORE! Can't wait!

Third GREASTEST Game of All Time

The third greatest game of all time, and the best RPG is Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga. I remember sneaking into my older brothers room just so I could do a battle. This was my first RPG and is the best for many reasons. One reason is for its portable use. Let's say you wanted a good RPG that didn't have Pokemon or in the middle ages, just one with everyone's favorite plumber. This is his RPG portable debut, and Is his best verus Partners in Time and Inside Story*. Another reason is the story. When I first bought this game I was so busy reading the text since I was a young lad and it took me a while to read on my small Gameboy Advanced SP screen. Queen Bean made me laugh alot along with the Hammer Bros and Popple. This game's fun never end I will start, as of today, if you show me a video that you complete the entire game in less than 15 hours, on your first run without cheating, I will refund upto $5 in Cash and $5 in JackSoft Credit. Detail about this will come on New Years Eve. Superstar Saga is a great Game Boy game and suggest it to anyone who still plays gameboy games or enjoys a great RPG.

* I never did play Inside Story because I was short on money at the time, although I do not plan to play this (maybe if they remake it 3D I might.

More Top Games! ChoiceQuest Update!

The fourth best game of all-time is Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Now matter what game you play, first person shooters or a Mario Adventure, this game has them all. This game is so easy to pick up, but hard to master. This is probably my second most played game next to the GameCube version, Super Smash Brothers Melee. With a stage builder, challenges, more audio (Actually the music in this game is the GREATEST video game music I've ever heard. I"d legally buy it for $30 if I could, knowing the game retails for $49.99.) and better Adventure Mode I would think need its own disc. The adventure mode consists of a world where Nintendo characters battle for fun, but when evil comes, it gets... evil. Now don't yell at me if you're disappointed on the third and first, this is MY blog, if you don't like it make your own blog. Now for ChoiceQuest news. Version 1.0.0 is done with a 1.1 update later tonight with an easier updater and some bug fixes. I'm a busy man...

The fifth great game of all time is Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSliver Versions! Ok, listen what do you want in a Pokemon game? Great story? Lots of Pokemon? Team Rocket? This one has it all! Gold and Sliver had better everything versus Red and Blue and Ruby and Sapphire took a huge step it was too scary! So remaking that to make to even better? Oh heck yes! And with the Pokewalker, I now can say in PE, "Guess what I'm doing? Playing Pokemon!". Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSliver is on sale now for $39.95!
